A man-made lake constructed in 1910 that supplies hydro electricity for the nearby camping ground, Lake Catani at Mt Buffalo National Park provides perfect conditions for frogs as well as being a pretty spot to stop for a picnic.

It’s a place that holds magic for me. My first visit to Mt Buffalo was as a toddler, and I have found alpine regions mesmerising ever since.
The rock outcrops tower monumentally, balancing precariously, creating lookouts across the low lying bogs and peaks, and splitting to form narrow passageways or sheer rock faces.
I’d love to do a medley of photos of this area. I’m travelling with iPad and iPhone only which means one photo at a time for the rest of October.
