After the Burn
Grass trees are the first plants to re-emerge after a fire. This wet heathland in the Noosa National Park, literally on my doorstep, was a bare black patch in 2015 after a controlled burn. All the heavy foliage, consumed by fire, made space for the delicate Australian wildflowers. See Nature’s Bouquets

Nature’s Bouquets
I’ve just come back from walking in the wet heathland in the Noosa National Park where I live. This is such a delicate and fragile ecosystem full of subtle beauty, with the wildflowers just finishing their August blooms.
