I’m an artist, an art gallery goer, and a traveller. Like many travellers I buy t-shirts as souvenirs. They become wearable memories that transport me back to a special place or a particular experience. T- shirts are my go to souvenir purchase because they are utilitarian, easy to pack additions to my holiday wardrobe that are generally made of natural fibres.
My artist’s eye always looks at the elements of design, but I also want to make environmentally and ethically conscious buying decisions.
Barcelona 2015: Gaudi’s Sagrada Familia

Think about it. The geometry on my t-shirt represents the awe-inspiring domes in Antonio Gaudi’s famous Cathedral. Just simple curves and ellipses, geometry that informs archetecture and art. Gaudi, as if by alchemy, transformed his designs into art. Soaring spaces, a forest of pillars, truly breathtaking decoration, lighting and spiritual ambience make the Sagrada Familia an extraordinary work of art.
