Over a period of five days in January 2013, I collected, sorted and photographed plastic debris washed up on Marcus Beach, Sunshine Coast, Queensland, Australia. I am exploring the creative possibilities of these photographs. It’s a playful way to highlight a huge environmental issue. The title of this page is tongue-in-cheek, the artwork is virtual and not world shattering but the intention is what counts.
Each day that I pick up rubbish reminds me why I avoid single use plastic containers and choose glass or cardboard packaging over plastic packaging.
